Reserve Force Day 2008
Each year on the Sunday of the first weekend of July, the Reserve Forces Day march is held through the city. Marchers assemble in College St and proceed to Macquarie St past Parliament House. There are more than a thousand participants made up of past members of defence force units formed from Militia, CMF and Reserve Forces.
Light Horse members from all over NSW gather at the Malabar Rifle Range site on the Friday and Saturday to participate in training and selection for the Lance Guard sections. Four of our troop members attended and two were chosen for the Lance Guard namely Helen & Gillian.
