2nd Light Horse Lockyer

At the close of the weekend at Emu Gully, several members of Lockyer Troop were scheduled to attend a full dress rehearsal of the upcoming Nov 11th ceremony at Ma Ma Creek. About 10l of the Emu Gully attendees tagged along to Ma Ma Creek to watch & learn from a skilled troop.

Two full sections of Light Horse and a Troop Leader marched along the main road to the Church on the hill. After formation display by section, a dismounted catafalque party and honour guard marched to the memorial for the rehearsal of the service. The display was polished and the result of many hours of practice during the time of Equine Influenza when mounted activities were limited.

Lockyer exhibited a standard we can only hope to one day attain.
