In The Steps Of the Light Horse

Two members of our Troop joined another 66 Light Horse members in the trip of a lifetime following in the steps of the Light Horse through Gallipoli and Israel. After touring the WW1 battlefields and other significant historical sites, 50 of the group rode local horses 3 days across the Negev desert to Beersheeba using the same route taken by the ANZAC Mounted Division in 1917. On the 4th Day, the ride culminated in a commemorative “charge” on the 90th anniversary of the 1917 charge across the same battleground.
